Veteran’s Day, 2010

By Scot Herrick | Cube Rules Commentary

Nov 11

While we often celebrate the veterans among us, there are other groups we need to honor this Veteran’s Day — the families of those who are proud of their son’s and daughter’s achievements, and the friends and extended family who sacrifice their time and goals to support those in the military.

And to those who give their lives as the ultimate sacrifice pursuing liberty in the midst of war-torn chaos, we need to support those who are left with the devastating loss of a loved one.

Mike McGreevy was a Navy Seal, an “honor man” in his class, and the finest example of a person devoted to serving his country I have ever known. Mike was killed in Afghanistan trying to save others attacked by the Taliban back when Afghanistan was a mere secondary war to the mistake of Iraq.

Rest in peace, Mike. You are remembered and loved by many. Including me.
