Jag Crashes and Burns — An update

contestants amyEarlier, I wrote about how Jag Crashes and Burns on the Next Food Network Star and related to what he did and how it relates to what we’re doing today working in cubes.

At the end of the article, I noted that my favorite, Amy Finley, came back as the competitor to Rori after Jag took himself out of the competition.

With lots of credit to the Food Network, they brought Jag back as part of the group for the show where they announce the winner. A humbled Jag, but a Jag coming from a place where I hope he can rebuilt the trust that he lost.

The competition was between Amy and Rori. I know if I was Rori, I’d be feeling pretty good about my chances since Amy was eliminated by the judges. But, the judges this time were the American public, not the Food Network, and that has a finicky way of working sometimes.

In a shocker, Amy won. You could tell it was a shocker, too, by the reaction of Rori and a lot of others on the set. A great come from behind win (which, of course, is exactly what the American public likes…).

Amy’s show starts up in October. It should be an interesting experience and I wish her the best of luck.

What a ride!
