Passion: the juice of work

email

Cubicle WarriorI originally looked at posting something for Valentines Day as a total waste of time for Cubicle Warriors.

But, I changed my mind (I can; as Emeril says about his cooking show: he can do it because it’s his show!).

Valentines is most often attributed to couples; lovers on the ascension in their relationship.

But, Valentines Day is also about passion. And passion is what I’d like to focus on a bit here.

Anything in life is tough without a passion sitting behind the work. Sans passion, roadblocks change from a bump in the road to a rock fall preventing movement. Without passion, the opportunities inherently presented in the work to make things better are missed. With no passion for the work, the road has blockages and the right road to take is hard to see.

So this Valentines Day, be a Cubicle Warrior and figure out what is holding you back from your passion for your work, your job, and your life. Figure out where the resistance is that prevents you from fully engaging in the work and your life.

Then, go change it.
