You’re going to laid off: Communication method

Time to goOutside of the fact that I continue to see massive layoff announcements from companies (10,000 from Pfizer being the latest), I’m curious as to how you would like to see a layoff communicated to you.

  • Would you like it to be face-to-face with your manager?
  • How about face-to-face with your manager who is reading a script?
  • How about in a group meeting with HR?
  • How about via e-mail?
  • How about via registered mail?
  • Any other good ways you’d like to suggest?

Might as well give those corporations and few good ideas. After all, where’s the creativity and innovation when it comes to letting people go?
